Accessibility
gridprims aims to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA in both the light and night themes, with full keyboard use, no sideways scrolling at 320 pixels wide, and a text summary and table for every chart.
How it is checked
Every change runs automated checks on every page in Chrome and Firefox, in both themes, before it can publish: labels, names, heading order, landmarks, target sizes, sideways scrolling at five widths, keyboard reach, and how often screen readers hear an answer. No manual check by a disabled user has been done yet.
Known issues
- Glossary pop-ups are not built yet, so their keyboard and screen-reader behavior is not yet checked. They will be checked when the Learn guides ship.
- Safari runs a smaller set of checks than Chrome and Firefox; the page-wide accessibility audit does not run there yet.
- The print layout is checked only in Chrome.
